Clearly Penn Badgley has learned a thing or two from his many years on Gossip Girl, because he wore a two sharp, uniform-esque short suits to Paris Fashion Week.
The You actor was spotted running around New York Fashion Week in a sheer mesh T-shirt. But he stepped up his game when he attended Paris Fashion Week in some truly stellar suiting, courtesy of Valentino. Badgley arrived at the spring 2024 show in a what appeared to be a gray skirt-suit. While his bottoms hit just below the knee, they were far from conservative. Thanks to the skirt s asymmetrical thigh-high slit, Badgley flashed a sliver of inner thigh as he walked. Keeping the attention on the bottom half of his outfit, he opted for a classic top half: a stiff white button-down and skinny black tie with a metallic margin.
Badgley’s matching gray ankle-length duster was well tailored to show off his black leather combat boots—whose welts were lined with black rock studs (this is Valentino, after all!)—and light gray socks, which peeked out over the tops of his shoes. He kept the accessories to a minimum, only wearing a pair of dark Ray-Ban sunglasses. He wore an almost identical outfit to the brand’s party later that night, but in black, swapping his gray socks for blue ones.
Badgley wasn’t the only man unafraid of a little risk-taking. Andrew Garfield also attracted some attention with his Valentino look: a bubblegum pink coat with a floral appliqué on the lapel, which he wore over a burnt sienna blouse. While clearly the antithesis of Garfield’s more colorful, flowy look, Badgley’s tailored outfit also leans into the feminine. Hopefully this is only the beginning of his more daring fashion choices.
