It s been a matter of weeks since Peter Dundas departed from Emilio Pucci, and news of his move to Roberto Cavalli was made official today. It will be something of a career full-circle for fashion s favorite Norwegian-American champion of hot-and-sexy good-time clothes. He ll only need to travel a few miles across Florence from the print house founded by Emilio Pucci to the fashion print house set up by Roberto Cavalli, and he won t be in any need of an induction course. Dundas was the behind-the-scenes designer when Roberto Cavalli relaunched his no-holds-barred brand of exuberant rock-chick deluxe style to rocketing visibility between 2002 and 2005. (Incidentally, he nurtured a very young studio designer named Olivier Rousteing, who is unmissably carrying on in his own hot way at Balmain now.) After an interlude at Emanuel Ungaro and a stint with Revillon, Dundas signed on at Emilio Pucci nearly seven years ago. Will he be leading his girl-friends Pied Piper–like from house to house? He has a loyal, fun-loving posse around him—including Ciara and models like Gigi Hadid, Anja Rubik, and Joan Smalls.
