The United Nations General Assembly is over, but that doesn’t mean diplomacy is taking any days off. And those who know the stories from Barack Obama’s administration have penned a compendium of their experiences for a new book, West Wingers: Stories From the Dream Chasers, Change Makers, and Hope Creators Inside the Obama White House. Toasting the authors—including Deesha Dyer, Heather Foster, Gautam Raghavan, Stephanie Valencia, and Bill Yosses—were contributing Vogue editor and Artemis Strategies founder Hildy Kuryk and Jarrod Bernstein, both of whom played their own roles in the Obama years.

As the group mingled and swapped tales, everyone took note of one scene-setting centerpiece: a Lego-built White House. Still, it was the laughter and catching up that most resonated over the course of the night.
