Standard x Grindr x 818’s Tequilla-Filled Fete
Even during a week saturated with celebration, The Standard High Line’s annual Pride party cannot be missed. (Madonna’s performance last summer will live on in fame or infamy, depending on whom you ask.) This year’s bacchanal, hosted with Grindr and 818 Tequila, did not disappoint. New York’s brightest design talents, including Fernando Garcia, Christian Siriano, and Prabal Gurung, mingled with musicians, models, and cultural disruptors. The epic dress code (“Liza with a Gen Z does Dangerous Liaisons: A Space Odyssey”) tested even the most sartorially advanced. DJ Mazerbate spun tracks until the wee hours as guests savored The Boom Boom Room’s staggering views.
Costa Brazil’s Pop-Up Party
At the Costa Brazil pop-up store in SoHo, founder Francisco Costa hosted a fete in celebration of Pride. Violet Chachki, of Drag Race fame, led the festivities with characteristic panache. In the wood-paneled space, guests danced and sipped Caipirinhas. A series of limited edition t-shirts by Out of Order—100% of the proceeds will go to UKRAINEPRIDE—were previewed at the party.
New York Edition x Jean Paul Gautier Dinner
On Friday night, Jean Paul Gautier gathered a group of queer creatives for an intimate dinner at the Edition Hotel. In the elegant dining room, attendees, including Richie Shazam and Violet Chachki, toasted the weekend ahead.
Standard x Razr x The Blonds’s Bash
Back at the Boom Boom Room, The Blonds and Motorola Razr hosted a riotous celebration on Saturday night. Nightlife icon Susanne Bartsch emmecceed the colorful evening. Standing on the bar, Tinashe surprised the crowd with an electrifying performance. Brightly plumed guests like Maye Musk and CT Hedden came to support New York City Anti-Violence Project, which aids queer and HIV-affected communities combat violence in all forms.
Gitano Beach Club’s Prideful Debut
On Sunday, after the parade left the sidewalks of Lower Manhattan shimmering with sequins, revelers took a ferry for Governor Island. At the soon-to-be-opened Gitano Island, Love Sensation: Pride Oasis Beach Party brought the flavors of Tulum to New York. The Misshapes and Carlos Jadraque provided the soundtrack for an evening of tequila and laughter—the perfect ending for a dizzying, dazzling week.
