Today, the Mean Girls home of Regina George—and **Amy Poehler’**s velour tracksuit—went up for sale at $14.8 million. Located in a suburb of Toronto, the 20,000-square-foot Neoclassical property features eleven bedrooms, fourteen bathrooms, a Juliette balcony, and a Scarlett O’Hara staircase (but no cool moms). Regina isn’t the only character to have her onscreen home fetch big bucks. Below, a look at nine other movie homes that have gone on the market.
Audrey Hepburn’s apartment in Breakfast at Tiffany’s
The apartment, which served as the facade for Holly’s boozy fetes, was located on East Seventy-first Street in Manhattan (just a stone’s throw from Tiffany’s flagship). The townhouse, which features three bedrooms and a solarium, was listed for $5.85 million in 2011.
**Macaulay Culkin’**s house in Home Alone
Believe it or not, the Georgian-style home once booby-trapped by Kevin McCallister in 1990’s Home Alone was a tricky real estate sell. After languishing on the market for a year, the price of the Winnetka, Illinois, property was slashed by nearly a million. In 2012, the fourteen-room home was for $1.585 million.
Marlon Brando’s compound in The Godfather
Leave the gun, take the English Tudor. In November of 2014, the sprawling compound, which was used as the setting for the Corleone family home, went on the market for $2.895 million. Located in Emerson Hill, an affluent neighborhood of Staten Island, the 6,248-square-foot home provided some memorable exterior shots for **Francis Ford Coppola’**s 1972 classic. While no interior shots were used in the film, the previous owners reportedly renovated the home to match the famous film setting.
**Tom Hanks’**s floating house in Sleepless in Seattle
If meeting your beloved on top of the Empire State Building boarders on schmaltzy, you could always just purchase Tom Hanks’s character’s Lake Union–floating houseboat instead. In 2013, the Sleepless in Seattle setting went on sale for $2.5 million.
**Matt Damon’**s shelter in The Bourne Identity
At the end of 2002’s The Bourne Identity, Matt Damon and his companion (Franka Potente) take shelter in a French farmhouse. In reality, the scene was filmed just outside of Prague, and the house was actually a beautifully preserved twelfth-century mill. Just yesterday, the house—which includes four hectares of fields, three stables, and an orchard—hit the market for the asking price of $4.1 million.
**Lena Dunham’**s loft in Tiny Furniture
The setting of Lena Dunham’s feature film debut (and her parents’ home) went on sale in 2013. Located in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood, the former textiles factory went on the market for an asking price of $6.35 million.
**Zach Braff’**s childhood home in Garden State
Looking for a more modest-priced piece of movie history? The Georgian colonial that served as the setting for Zach Braff’s 2004 film Garden State hit the market in 2008 for an asking price of $890,000.
**Alan Ruck **s home in Ferris Bueller
If you were intrigued by Ferris’s description of Cameron’s Modernist mansion—“The place is like a museum. It s very beautiful and very cold, and you re not allowed to touch anything”—you’re in luck. The Highland Park home found itself back on the market in 2013 with a starting price of $1.375 million. (No Ferrari included.)
**Meryl Streeps’**s garden home in It’s Complicated
The Spanish hacienda-style home of **Nancy Meyer’**s 2009 film It’s Complicated went on sale in 2012 for $12 million. The 6,100-square foot home is situated on 57 acres and includes a pool house, greenhouse, and six-stall barn.
