Last night, the original cast of Saved by the Bell was reunited on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, reminding us that Zac, Kelly and friends were, among other things, way ahead of their time. The oversized denim-on-denim look you just saw on Rihanna in the "FourFiveSeconds" video? You saw it first on Saved by the Bell. Varsity Jackets? Saved by the Bell. Not to mention normcore, which is everywhere in the ’90s teen sitcom.

This is the season for cult comedy reunions and Saved by the Bell is one we can get behind. Zack, Kelly, Slater, Mr Belding, and Jessie are back in Bayside, thanks to Jimmy Fallon, in all their neon print and giant cellphone glory. Who is the most stylish of them all? Jessie Spano’s clothes piqued our interest––in fact, we realized fashion may have been channeling her for the past few years without even knowing it. Here are the six ways Jessie Spano from Saved by the Bell predicted today’s current trends.

1. Varsity jackets: They’re carried at Opening Ceremony and A.P.C., but Saved by the Bell made the schoolyard look into a fashion statement.

2. Normcore: Take Jessie Spano’s outfit, add a touch of subtle irony, and you’ve got the look.

3. Oversize accessories: Jessie could have stepped off the Jeremy Scott runway last season.

4. Combat boots: Patti Smith wore them to the Golden Globes, Jessie Spano wore them on Saved by the Bell, and you can wear them anywhere.

5. Belt bag: They’re functional and way cooler than a fanny pack. Check out our styling tips for guidance.

6. Bandannas: This trend popped up at the men’s shows this season. But we saw it first on Saved by the Bell.
