It’s real and it’s spectacular: Today, in celebration of Seinfeld streaming on Hulu, the online video service has converted a corner of Fourteenth Street in Manhattan into an exact replica of Jerry’s Upper West Side apartment—complete with Drake’s coffee cakes, Superman figurines, and an expansive cereal collection.
Doubling down on the Modern Seinfeld theme, we wanted to walk a mile in Elaine’s Himalayan Walking Shoes and re-create our favorite Seinfeld moments, starring Benes lookalike and model Andreea Diaconu. Here, the 24-year-old, who says that Elaine was the best female character on television, wears Benes s trademark oversize blazers, loose floral dresses, and penny loafers with socks—all from current collections. And who better to play bizarro Jerry than Elliot Tebele, the creator of the viral feed Fuck Jerry?
Wearing the character’s signature dad jeans, tucked in button-down, and Nikes, Tebele looked and felt closer to his alter ego than ever before. “Being in that room, being dressed up as him, acting the scenes straight out of the show, I honestly felt like I was him, for, like, a moment,” Tebele said. “It was weird.”
