Former Fashion Funders—and favorites of jewelry aficionados everywhere—Monique Péan and Eddie Borgo were announced as the winners of the Tiffany Co. Development Grant in partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and Vogue. The grants, which are part of a three-year partnership between the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and Tiffany Co. and funded by a $1 million endowment from the jeweler, were presented this morning at the flagship store on Fifth Avenue by Michael J. Kowalski, CEO and chairman of Tiffany Co., Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour and Senior Market Editor Meredith Melling Burke, and Steven Kolb, executive director of the CFDA. Péan and Borgo received $150,000 and $100,000, respectively, to further their burgeoning businesses and develop their jewelry designs as independent entities.
