Turkish-based brand, Siedrés, best known for its eclectic and Y2K-inspired designs, just launched a much-anticipated summer capsule collection with Mango. The collaboration, which comes off the heels of the highly successful Mango x Victoria Beckham, is a celebration of 2000s beach club fashion, characterized by bold colors, playful patterns, and a carefree, bohemian spirit. To learn more about the 51-piece collection, Vogue chatted exclusively with the brand’s creative director and founder, Ceylin Türkkan Bilge, on how the two brands first came together, what kind of woman she envisions styling the collection, her favorite pieces, and so much more.
“Partnering with a high-street brand like Mango gives us the opportunity to reach new audiences and share our passion for beauty, elegance, and vibrant design on a larger scale, creating a collection that is both unique and accessible,” Türkkan tells Vogue of why she was keen on collaborating.
Siedrés x Mango, which officially launches tomorrow, June 6th, is available to shop now exclusively for Vogue readers.
Mindful about keeping all pieces under $300, Siedrés x Mango is not just an homage to Y2K-inspired, beach club culture, but also about making the brand’s unique designs more widely accessible. The 51-piece collection highlights Türkkan’s intricate use of crochet and embroidery, as well as some of the label’s signature motifs, such as the hibiscus flower-print which Türkkan says is “a cornerstone of the collection… and evokes memories of sun-soaked days by the shore.”
“We drew on festive colors that bring a sense of joy and celebration, mirroring the lively palettes we love to use,” adds Türkkan. “Silhouettes such as flowy dresses and playful skirts are staples in our brand and are prominently featured in this collection. These styles capture the carefree, vibrant essence of summer, which is central to our design ethos. We’ve created a collection that feels authentically us.”
The skin-baring dresses are the undeniable stars of the collection, with options from sultry silk to festive crochet that would be an instant hit at any pool party or summer night out. (Your itsy bitsy bikini is also included.) Stylish separates, like a striped knit short set or a matching halter top and capri pants, stand out, too. Accessory-wise, there are strappy sandals adorned with 3D-florals; raffia handbags, bucket hats, and pendant necklaces.
As for Türkkan, her favorite piece is somewhat unexpected: a pair of low-waist denim pants. “They capture the iconic Y2K-style with a modern twist, blending nostalgia with contemporary fashion. The fit is flattering and comfortable, making it a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down effortlessly,” she boasts.
Designed for the woman who effortlessly transitions between casual city strolls and relaxed beach outings to elegant summer evenings, there’s no better way to celebrate the start of the season than with Siedrés x Mango. Shop (and sport!) the 51-piece collection, here.
