The Vogue office runs on ice-cold water from our Stanley cups. No, really—Vogue Runway’s Irene Kim admits she was “so against” owning one at first, but just like the rest of us, once she gave into the double-insulated stainless-steel giant tumbler with a straw she has never looked back. Celebrities like Olivia Rodrigo and Adele have been seen with the bicep-size cups, and even the global fashion community has gotten on board, with brands and events like Shanghai Fashion Week creating personalized cups.
Today, the brand is releasing a new bottle—exclusive to Stanley—that is certain to sell out. Meet the Cross Bottle, which hits all the hallmarks of Stanley (stainless steel, temperature controlled) with two incredible updates for anybody on the go: It’s both hands-free and closes shut. It retails for $75 (about $30 more than its 40-ounce FlowState Tumbler) and comes in six colorways.
“We have a lot to carry—phone, keys, wallet, laptop, gym bag, shopping bags,” says chief brand officer Graham Nearn. “The Cross Bottle is the embodiment of how Stanley makes people’s lives easier through smart design.” Even the size—23 ounces—was carefully considered. “It’s the sweet spot in terms of providing enough water to take with you on the go while maintaining the integrity of a look,” Nearn says.
After seeing the new design, Kim declares the Cross Bottle is “perfect for Fashion Week”—a time when Vogue editors are (somewhat frantically) running between shows, typically without a snack or sip on hand. Now at least our thirst will be quenched.
