"I
ve learned over the years that you can
t really rely on craft services backstage for healthy food, so I carry a ton in my bag. At the moment, I have a Dannon yogurt, SkinnyPop popcorn, Justin
s Peanut Butter Cups, and a Luna Bar in chocolate chip flavor—it
s like a cookie, and you know I love a cookie! I also make a morning protein shake with 1/2 frozen banana; almond milk; and a clean, natural, vanilla-flavored protein powder. I whip it up in the blender and put in a cup with a straw so I can take it backstage with me.
"At the latest, I
m in bed by 11:30 every night, even if it means I have to leave a party or dinner early. I need six or seven hours of sleep to stay healthy. I
m also constantly washing my hands.
"I love being really active, too. I
m a big fan of Pilates and isolated exercises that focus on different muscle groups. I do SoulCycle as well; I like to mix it up and challenge my body, especially those underworked muscles. I think the key to staying healthy and strong is to take care of yourself with exercise."
