Famous blonde Sydney Sweeney has ditched her golden locks—and only an event like the 2024 Met Gala could convince her to do it. Wearing a Miu Miu tulle gown and leather gloves feel very much in the star’s classic, Old Hollywood wheelhouse—so Sweeney and hairstylist and Kerastase ambassador Glen Oropeza decided to go earthquaking when it came to glam.
Described as a “a scene-stealing petit-noir wig,” Sweeney’s jet-black shag à la Joan Jett came with blunt baby bangs. To prep her hair, Oropeza used the Kerastase Premiere Collection, which kept it nurtured while it was situated beneath the wig. Once the wig was placed, it was dampened and blunt cut on Sweeney to create the coolest and most flattering shape possible. The chop and super-tight opera length gloves balancing out the classic, spring-like glamour of the diaphanous sky blue dress.
