We should have known it was coming—with a new Fifty Shades trailer typically comes some sort of sultry banger of a pop tune, and down the pipe (and onto Twitter, at around midnight last night, EST) comes Taylor Swift’s breathy "I don t wanna life forever,” a duet with none other than Zayn Malik. (Her part: “Baby, baby, I feel crazy, up all night, all night, and every day”; his: “I don’t wanna live forever/ ‘Cause I know I’ll be living in pain.”
The song was co-written and produced by Jack Antonoff (of Fun., Bleachers, and Lena Dunham s Instagrams) and performed with Malik (a former One Directioner and current paramour to Gigi Hadid), and so is something of a group project for the famous clique (or at least their boyfriends). Consider this—after choreographed mannequin challenges, expertly planned Fourth of July parties, and professionally dressed Halloween parties—just the latest in a long line of ever-escalating squad goals.
