This handsome Bulgarian’s personal life can sometimes obscure his success on the court. He’s been dating tennis superstar Maria Sharapova for more than a year, and he previously had a romance with Sharapova’s nemesis, Serena Williams, who mentioned his “black heart” in a thinly veiled dig in a certain Rolling Stone interview. But 2014 is looking promising for Dimitrov. Fresh off a win at the Aegon Championships—the men’s warm-up to Wimbledon—Dimitrov has just become the first player this year to win titles on all three different surfaces (grass, clay, hard).
