As his promo cycle as Bob Dylan nears its end, Timothée Chalamet used fashion to go totally electric at the 2025 SAG Awards.
Chalamet—who took home the SAG award for best actor—wore custom Chrome Hearts, donning a single-breasted peak lapel leather blazer and matching straight-leg pants. Underneath his jacket, he wore a fluorescent green hand-dyed silk button-up and a bolo tie. It was, however, no standard bolo: Chalamet wore the Féline de Cartier pendant watch, featuring 78 brilliant- and princess-cut diamonds set in 18-karat yellow gold and black lacquer, from the 2005 Cartier Libre collection. He finished off the look with black rectangular Chrome Hearts sunglasses and a pair of the brand’s archive cowboy boots.
Styled by Taylor McNeill, the look paid homage to one of Dylan’s more recent looks—right down to the bright green dress shirt. Given the occasion, however, Chalamet gave his outfit a rockstar edge by ditching more traditional suiting for leather. (This also marks the second time in recent weeks that Chalamet has worn custom Chrome Hearts. On Valentine’s Day, he hit the Berlinale red carpet decked out in the brand from head to toe, wearing a pale pink sweatsuit.)
While it may be appealing to reference the 1960s Dylan that Chalamet portrayed, he and McNeill have embraced the singer in every era. Who, after all, can forget the side-swept blonde bangs and beanie that Chalamet donned for the New York premiere of A Complete Unknown, in homage Dylan’s 2003 appearance at the Sundance Film Festival?
With only one week left until the Oscars, we’re waiting with bated breath to see how many Bob Dylan deep cuts Timothée Chalamet has left.
