After perfecting the art of minimalist-forward ready-to-wear for years, it only seemed natural that a line of handbags would be TWP’s next foray. “My whole life has been dedicated to designing women’s clothing, and I have always wanted to make the perfect bags to pair with my collections,” says Trish Wescoat Pound, founder and designer of TWP, the day before her fall/winter 2026 collection showcase. Clocking their debut on the spring/summer 2026 runway last September, the wait is finally over—and Vogue readers get the opportunity to shop the eight-piece handbag collection for a full 24 hours before the official public launch on February 13.
The carefully curated edit features designs made from leather, tarpaulin, and woven nylon, representing the essentials for living—designed to be “carried with ease through every stage of our woman’s life,” Wescoat Pound says. Focusing on “exceptional quality, considered construction, and a balance of practicality and refinement,” you’ll find shapes that range from top-handle carryalls to softer shoulder silhouettes for travel, and roomy totes ideal for beach holidays and beyond.
“I was inspired by the places that hold memories dear to me, and many that I share with my daughter and travel companion, Jillian,” Wescoat Pound says. While the supple, Howard Street leather tote pays homage to the brand’s home and flagship location, New York City, other styles revisit cherished memories of destinations across the globe—such as the Paros, a knotted leather style reminiscent of their favorite Greek island, or the hefty Deià market tote, inspired by the small Spanish village they always return to.
Infused with wanderlust, the fabrication of each handbag was intentional—crafted for durability. “The Howard Street, our icon bag, is a semi-aniline smooth calfskin that comes from a tannery in Florence,” says Wescoat Pound. “Its tanning process results in a superior dye, allowing improved fade and scratch resistance while maintaining a soft hand and natural look.” Meanwhile, the Paros and Fisherman bags are derived from a vegetable-tanned, full-grain Italian calf leather sourced in Pisa, a process that allows for more wear-and-tear, especially while on the go.
