My Paris essential turned up on the catwalk at Rochas on Wednesday night: extra long cashmere gloves with gold snake appliqued on the palm and fingers. They are sumptuous and rather subtle—that is, until you show your hand, give a little wave and get a little flashy. Since I nabbed a pair straight from the runway I have not kept them at arm s length. Worn with a vintage snake dress, they are adorable, somewhat ironic, and wonderfully effective at battling the chilly spring weather.
