11 Things to Know About Vetements’s Fall 2016 Show

10 things vetements

Vetements’s Demna Gvasalia is the most-talked-about man in Parisian fashion right now. He’s about to take up the mantle at Balenciaga, and his designs for Vetements are among the most-copied in the biz. What to do, then, when all eyes are on your Fall 2016 show? Gvasalia and co. presented a collection that evolved the Vetements brand slowly, sending out new versions of their hoodies, ditzy floral dresses, and thigh-high sock boots. As a counter to their continuity was the setting, a church, and the brazen IDGAF nature of certain pieces, like a shirt with an expletive-laden accusation printed on the front. We’ll leave what it all means to Sarah Mower, whose review of the show will be live shortly. Until then, catch up on the 11 highs of Vetements’s fashion show here.
