Victoria Beckham s looks in New York City this week have offered subtle variations on the white-T-shirt-and-trousers combo. Today, however, Beckham s message was loud and clear: Departing her hotel, Beckham donned a BAT Gio by Giovanna Battaglia T-shirt bearing the phrase FASHION EMERGENCY.
This isn t the first time Beckham has poked fun at her posh image: Earlier this year she debuted a FASHION STOLE MY SMILE tee, which she sported at the airport and again to Estée Lauder s laboratory. Today s cheeky message brought a touch of whimsy to an otherwise meticulously composed look. Blush-pink stilettos added a girlish twist to her tomboy jeans, while the designer s favorite flat-top shades and a chain-link bag (worn as a clutch) ensured that any style crisis—real or imaginary—was averted.
