We hope you didn’t rage too hard with Alexander Wang last night. Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2017 runway show kicked off bright and early in the Financial District this morning. But the collection in Broadway’s sumptuous Cunard Building was an affair languid enough to soothe even the most weary of souls. From satin tailoring and lingerie references to lush wallpaper florals—and a few new accessories, besides—Beckham brought her signature brand of modern luxury.

While you wait for Nicole Phelps’s review of the Spring 2017 collection, here are nine things you need to know about the show. See the full collection here.

1. Pre-show jitters? We doubt it. The designer shared a sweet note from her children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper early this morning.

2. While the full Beckham clan wasn’t out and about in New York, 17-year-old Brooklyn sat looking debonair front row alongside his father, David. Post-finale, Brooklyn Instagrammed a video captioned, “What an amazing show. Well done, mum.”

3. David is no slouch either, of course; last night the Beckham patriarch shared a snap of himself getting a trim in the chair at Williamsburg’s Ludlow Blunt barbershop.

4. Fall’s corset details gave way to almost architectural bra tops for Spring; time to start hitting that barre class again.

5. Interiors-inspired florals felt decidedly 21st century when worn in top-to-toe looks like a boxy tee and pleated skirt.

6. Pajama dressing isn’t going anywhere on Beckham’s watch. While the designer has long been a lover of tailored sheathes in her own wardrobe, the louche, soft tailoring here felt in step with the industry’s current mood.

7. Models got graphic blue eyeliner courtesy of Beckham’s forthcoming Estée Lauder collection.

8. In the garments themselves, a palette of minty greens, tangerine, violet, and olive felt like one of the freshest we’ve seen so far this season.

9. Saddle up; the knee-high riding boots models sported could be one of the hits of the season—but a couple of softly structured bags in modern-looking pastels looked fresh too.
