Before the fall 2023 season officially kicks off, we thought we’d take a look back at the year 2013. Not much has changed since then—street stylers are still obsessed with their iPhones, influencers are still influencing (they’ve just switched their platforms from Blogspot to TikTok), and we think chivalry is still not dead (although we aren’t sure we’d see people being carried around like babies in our modern era). Fendi Buggies, platform ankle booties, oversized aviators, and colorful furs may be currently replaced by mini bags, ballet flats, gas station sunglasses, and letterman jackets, but if they’re still in your closet, hang on to them! They’re due to come back in style in a few years. One thing that remains certain is that street style is always fun to look at, no matter the year.
