Whether you prefer to spend your winters chasing the sun or praying for snow, there’s nothing like that first trip of the year to take the edge off. But just because the holidays are behind us, doesn’t mean the time to shop is over. Luxury brands are setting up temporary spaces across the globe to help make the most of the season. Should you find yourself exploring far-flung ski runs in Japan, lounging by sun-dappled waters in Palm Beach, or making the annual pilgrimage to Aspen, here five pop-up shops to look out for in winter’s buzziest locales.
Louis Vuitton: The Park Hyatt in Niseko, Japan
With an average annual snowfall of over 500 inches, it’s easy to see why Niseko, Japan is a skier’s haven. However, even the most devoted powder chasers are bound to be drawn to the Louis Vuitton yurt perched in front of the majestic Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono. Illuminated at night and filled with cozy areas for lounging—as well as Louis Vuitton–branded skis, special furnishings, and fine jewelry—the circular space is just a hint at the more extensive pop-up located inside the hotel. Stocked full of curated luggage, leather goods, ready-to-wear, fragrance, and more, the pop-up is the first luxury locale of its kind for the area. The contemporary hotel’s glass and steel structure architecture influenced the temporary shop’s silver palette, which looks out to the snow-capped views of Mt. Yotei and the Niseko Mountain Range. Outside, in true LV fashion, nearby gondolas have been swathed in the brand’s recognizable motif. On through February 25th.
Dolce Gabbana: The Colony Palm Beach in Palm Beach, Florida
Known for its bold decor—vibrant wallpaper and colorful textiles amid lush landscaping and a pink facade—The Colony in Palm Beach lives and breathes whimsical energy, making it the perfect stage for a Dolce Gabbana pop-up. Housed in a boutique space adjacent to the property’s bustling living room, curated finds for men and women put the brand’s affinity for luxe materials, graphic floral and animal prints, and location-appropriate shoes, bags, and accessories front and center. Par for the course, it’s all set against a backdrop of leopard print—from the carpet and wallpaper to the dressing curtains and tabletops. On through July 2025.
Jacquemus: Courchevel, France
An all-white interior is the perfect, minimalist scheme to highlight trendy French label Jacquemus’ colorful bags, striking coats, and quirky accessories such as earrings shaped like the brand’s Chiquito bag. The first winter pop-up for the typically sunny brand is located at 37 rue du Rocher, neighboring other luxury labels like Chanel and Hermès. Look for the Jacquemus-branded skis and snowboards perched outside; enter the quaint space and find an offering of the label’s staples as well as a limited-edition capsule collection. On through March 31.
Loro Piana: Zermatt, Switzerland
Nestled among the town’s chic chalets and après-ski venues, Loro Piana’s first Zermatt pop-up is everything you’d expect from the brand synonymous with quiet luxury—just don’t call it a tent. The space is actually inspired by a Gher, a traditional, oval-shaped mobile dwelling, which dates back to the nomadic people of Mongolia and Inner Mongolia, locations where the Italian label sources its coveted cashmere. Inside, swathes of predominantly cream and beige–colored apparel and blankets fill the circular room, while the experience continues beyond its walls with an outdoor deck outfitted with heat lamps, sheepskin-covered seating, and cozy cashmere throws. On through March 15.
Revolve x FWRD: Aspen, Colorado
While there is no shortage of luxury shopping year-round in Aspen (both Hermès and Bottega Veneta have recently opened permanent retail destinations), there’s nothing like a seasonal space packed with curated essentials from a range of brands. To that end, Revolve and FWRD have debuted their retro-cabin-inspired pop-up at 410 E. Hyman, just steps from Van Cleef Arpels and Madame Ushi. Jackets from Courrèges, baguettes bags from Fendi, boots from Isabel Marant, lip butters from Summer Fridays…the two-story space is chock full of fashion and beauty essentials to make you feel like a true Aspenite. There are also walls dedicated to displaying an array of pre-owned Birkins in every shade (more than 50 styles!), oversized sunglasses, and coveted sneakers. Keep an eye out for special activations like a sip and shop on January 12 with designer Jonathan Simkhai. On through March 16.
