Sky blue, palette cleansing white, and an altogether serene sensibility swept the red carpets and chic streets this week; isn't it strange that great style can be an argument for calm in the face of a political/media storm? Danai Guirra and Zoe Kravitz went minimal but feminine, somewhat Nineties yet completely now. Tilda Swinton and Sofia Coppola embraced a macabre romanticism, proving it is possible to look both MAJOR and thoroughly understated. The Hadids made a similar point while going about their daily lives--Gigi in head-to-toe pastel and Bella with her captivating approach to corsetry.
