The Best Dressed Stars of the Week Leaned Into a Little Sparkle

Between New York Fashion Week, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the MTV VMAs, it was a star-studded week on the red carpets. The best dressed stars of the bunch, however, were those who leaned into a certain sparkle factor, choosing looks that shimmered and shined in unexpected ways. Even Vice President Kamala Harris got in on the action, wearing a custom black sequin gown by American designer LaQuan Smith just last night.

At NYFW, stellar VIP looks filled the front rows, but it was Lindsay Lohan who caused a proper stir at the Michael Kors spring 2025 presentation. Appearing in a silky gray slip dress and a fur-collared coat, she looked chic and modern. (“I like clothes that are effortless and chic, but comfort is key,” she told Vogue last week.) At the 2024 MTV VMAs, meanwhile, Tyla opted for a yellow Area frock (an A+ color on her) with a fringed skirt, and Lisa turned heads in a corseted Mugler gown with a dramatic hood to match.

At the Toronto International Film Festival, even more A-listers stepped out in statement pieces. Selena Gomez dazzled in a Rodarte sequin dress with a rosette neckline, while Kaia Gerber paid homage to mom Cindy Crawford in a white Herve Leger dress—recreating a look Crawford wore to the 1993 Oscars. Like mother, like daughter.
