Spring 2025 menswear shows may be underway in Milan right now, but there’s major fashion show happening in Boston and Dallas: the 2024 NBA Finals. Today marks game four of the face-off between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks, and while the players are giving it their all on the court, they’ve also been bringing their finest outfits to the tunnel.

The tunnel walk has become something of a runway over the past several years. In 2018, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers arrived to game two against the Golden State Warriors wearing head-to-toe Thom Browne. Nowadays, dressing up for marquis games, or matches in major media markets is de rigueur—many players even tap stylists for the occasion. Today, the tunnel walk’s success has spread beyond the NBA. Players in leagues from the NFL to the WNBA all jump at the chance to flex with their fashion ahead of big games.

We’re expecting standout looks from the Celtics tonight. In addition to leading 3-0, the team boasts fashion fans Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum on their roster. But, between fashion and sports, it’s anyone’s game.
