The WNBA Tunnel Is Officially a Fashion Destination
Over the last few months, the WNBA has become a beacon of fashion just as much as it has basketball. Angel Reese announced she was going pro in Vogue and attended the Met Gala in 16Arlington; Caitlin Clark has become a recent Prada favorite; and Draft Day saw lots of standout moments.
This week, the WNBA kicked off the 2024-2025 season, and began what is sure to be a particularly fashion-focused year. Clark opted for a black tube top and Tibi jeans, which she accessorized with Tiffany Co. x Nike sneakers and a matching blue gradient purse. Cameron Brink, one of the draft’s standouts, rocked Givenchy.
Leather was prominent, with several players giving it their own spin. A’ja Wilson wore a set from Heaven Jarrett NYC. Kelsey Plum of the Las Vegas Aces tried out a barely-there vest, while her teammate Jackie Young went full biker-chic. Elsewhere, the Connecticut Sun’s DeWanna Bonner opted for a head-to-toe leather look, pairing a cropped jacket with a miniskirt and over-the-knee boots.
Other players stood out for their outfits as well: Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty added a touch of ’70s flair with her oversized sunglasses and colorful scarf; the Aces’ Sydney Colson went the streetwear route in a denim jacquard tracksuit from Aelfric Eden.
With a bright season ahead, we are looking forward to many more fashion moments to come.
