What Will Alexa Chung’s Clothing Look Like?
There are few It girls whose style commands such ardent devotion as that of Alexa Chung. Heaps of blogs and Pinterest boards chart her every look, while her signature, quirkily cool brand of je ne sais quoi has spawned its fair share of high-street imitations. So when word broke this morning that Chung would be starting an eponymous clothing line, the Internet was abuzz with speculation about what form it might take. After all, she’s nothing if not eclectic, slipping from looks demure (à la Deneuve in The Umbrellas of Cherbourg) to boyishly grungy (e.g., her Glastonbury attire) with the bat of a cat-eye–lined eye. The clothes won’t launch for some time (check back next May, when the inaugural collection will be released), but we tapped a handful of Vogue.com staffers to tell us what they’re hoping Ms. Chung will whip up.
