No matter the amount of sunshine, my day-to-day look has become rather covered in this era of Zoom dressing. Although I was not in the habit of wearing crop tops, halters, or tube tops to the office, I’m finding that my style is becoming more conservative as I am faced with a mirror image of myself during back-to-back meetings. At present, my closet is strictly divided into two categories: for zoom and not for zoom. And, quite unfortunately, this means most of my favorite summer tops (even tank tops!) have barely seen the light of day.
But as I gear up for a bit of a staycation this August, I’m looking forward to taking out my ironically-named “going-out tops” for a spin. Even if I am not going anywhere, rotating out of my few zoom-approved styles for something a little more skin-baring ought to serve as some kind of escape.
