For any wine aficionado, finding the perfect glass can be as critical as the wine itself. There are myriad choices on the market, but it’s difficult to know which ones are truly the best. To ease the process, Vogue consulted 8 sommeliers to give us an inside look at their favorite wine glasses across a variety of price points. There’s one who has a high-profile role at Eleven Madison Park, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France Sommelier award winner, and a star from the 2013 documentary Somm.
Yet despite the sommelier’s diverse backgrounds, achievements, and tastes—there’s one wine glass that tops (nearly) everyone s list: the Zalto Denk’Art Universal Glass. “This glass makes you feel like you are doing things right in life. Zalto may be the best investment glasses, but there are still plenty of affordable and mid-range options that are sommelier-approved too. For Cedric Nicaise, the Wine Director at three Michelin-starred Eleven Madison Park, the Riedel O Series Chardonnay glasses are “great glasses for any occasion—drinking outside, on the couch, or at the dinner table.
