Bode and Nordstrom Debuted Their Latest Partnership With a Swanky Dinner Party

Last Thursday evening, the oak cabinets of Bode’s Lower East Side abode made their way to Midtown as the brand takes up residence at Nordstrom’s retail space, The Corner. And to celebrate, corduroy-clad Bode boys and ladies lined in crochet and lace convened for a cocktail hour and intimate dinner hosted by Emily Adams Bode Aujla and Nordstrom fashion directors Rickie De Sole and Jian DeLeon.
The evening was an amalgamation of collegiate cool and old-school charm as guests, dressed in signature and one-of-a-kind Bode pieces, grooved to classic rock tunes of The Beatles while perusing through the collection, which features limited-edition Bode x Nordstrom exclusives. At half past eight, dinner commenced on the second floor at the retailer’s contemporary Italian restaurant Wolf. Blake Abbie, Tyler Joe, Mordechai Rubinstein, and Vogue’s Madeline Fass were treated to a family-style feast featuring spicy rigatoni, lamb chops, grilled octopus, and an array of decadent desserts.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Bode as our inaugural partner at The Corner,” says Jian DeLeon, who sported a custom Bode jacket featuring his favorite Filipino snacks from his childhood for the evening. “My history with Bode goes way back, and it’s been astounding to see what Emily and Aaron have built and how much they’ve grown.”
From the single rack of clothing to now having a dedicated space at The Corner, Bode Aujla expressed her gratitude for the retailer’s outpouring support for the brand. “They’ve really seen our progression from our East Broadway space—which is almost laughable at this point; the floors were caving in and water was pouring out of the ceiling,” she quipped. “I’m so glad to be supported by you guys, from the Met Gala to having this opportunity is so fantastic and I’m so glad to be supported by you,” she said to the team.
