13 Celebrities Who Have Used Dating Apps (With Varying Degrees of Success)
The word on the street is that in November 2025, the dating-app situation has never been more dire (to the point that I, a newly single 30-something, have promised myself that I won’t venture onto Tinder, Bumble, Lex, or any of their various equivalents until at least the spring). That said, at least some people have found true love on the apps—why, even New York’s mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani met his cool artist wife Rama Duwaji on Hinge, meaning that surely not all hope is lost.
Of course, Mamdani and Duwaji aren’t the only famous couple who found each other online, among a sea of basics with “loves tacos, movies and hiking :)” in their bios. Below, a roundup of celebrities who have spoken up about braving the apps.

The star Olympic gymnast met her NFL-player husband Jonathan Owens on Raya back in 2020. “I didn’t know who she was,” Owens told Texas Monthly in 2021, adding: “I just hadn’t heard of her, and when I told her that, that’s one of the things she liked.”

The comedian and Big Mouth co-creator met his artist/landscape designer wife Lily Kwong on Raya in 2018, when Kwong allegedly messaged Kroll first. The married couple now has two kids, so I guess making the first move is kind of a vibe?
