For the Coperni Designers Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, the Greek Island of Hydra Means Forever

It was love at first sight for Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant—the Coperni designers first met in fashion school in Paris in 2009, and went on to launch the label in 2013. The pair have longed loved the island of Hydra, they vacationed there for five years before choosing it as their wedding location in 2021. This past summer. they celebrated two years of their love, accompanied by an expansive group of friends and professional collaborators, they started on the Greek island. “There are incredible sunsets and the art scene is also amazing—especially the Deste Foundation,” they said via e-mail. “This year, there was an amazing exhibition called ‘Dream Machine,’ that included pieces from Jeff Koons, Camille Henrot, Urs Fischer, Marcel Duchamp, Fischli Weiss, and Philippe Parreno.”
Afterwards, they made their way to Ibiza where they were joined by a new group of friends as they hit up the famous clubs that have made the Spanish island famous throughout the world. A little bit of art, a little bit of history, and a lot of fun and relaxation make for the perfect recharge before the fashion season ramps up.
