Guests are welcomed by an oak tree–bordered driveway bending and winding for half a mile before they arrive at the venue: an 18,000-square-foot stone barn with walls of windows overlooking 225 acres of wide-open and untouched hayfields and forests. And if that isn’t enough, the Catskills serve as a backdrop from almost any vantage point.

At Crooked Willow Farms, located just 35 minutes south of Denver and north of Colorado Springs, couples can choose from several spaces spread out on the property’s 90 acres—like the Grand Carriage House Ballroom, with its soaring windows and rustic wood siding, or the manicured Events Lawn that can accommodate almost 2,000 seated guests—almost all with views of the surrounding Rocky Mountains.

The main 3,200-square-foot barn was built almost two centuries ago—in 1820—and is surrounded by rolling hills and picturesque ponds. Couples can also take advantage of the smaller Corn Crib with its large deck and the charming Stone Farmhouse, ideal for getting ready pre-ceremony.

Located just outside of San Luis Obispo, this historic ranch—founded by Franciscan missionaries in the 1770s—is home to almost 15,000 acres of gardens, pastures, a sustainable vineyard, and cattle ranching. Weddings are often held in the Asistencia event barn or on the Estrada Garden lawn, and couples can opt to charter the property’s private Pacific Coast Railroad train for a scenic tour of the ranch.
