Roland Mouret Unveils Une Chambre en Ville and His Debut Fragrance in New York City
Why stop now? Fresh off of a monumental year celebrating 20 years in design, Roland Mouret, with help from Cleo Wade, unveiled Une Chambre en Ville and launched his debut fragrance at his Madison Avenue boutique Wednesday evening. In Une Chambre en Ville, or “a room in a town,” Mouret transformed the top two levels of the townhouse-turned-boutique into a curated, experiential space. Here the designer welcomes clients to discover his latest collections in the comfort of his home away from home. “We are so lucky to have Carlos Place [the flagship store in London] where the customers are a part of our story…I wanted to replicate that here in New York City,” said Mouret. The store’s uniqueness was reiterated by his cohost: “Spaces like this, they don’t exist anymore—especially in New York City…I am honored to be a part of it,” Wade added.
