Inside Frame’s Fall Menswear Campaign Cocktail Party

Erik Torstensson is not just a denim connoisseur. He’s a die-hard Knicks fan, skater-dad, print magazine obsessive, and former pig farmer– in that order. The eccentric and hilarious co-founder of Frame took time off from building a mini skate ramp for his son in Amagansett to take over the new and trendy West Village restaurant, The Noortwyck. The soiree showed off his new print project, Modern Man, a coffee table magazine highlighting the menswear campaign featuring friends of the brand, including athletes, actors, models, musicians, and fashion world staples, shot entirely by Torstensson. The eclectic bunch is a reflection of Torstensson himself, who has evolved through many creative professional lives.
At the height of the hour, when the margaritas were going down a little easier, Torstensson’s jaw dropped as Knicks center Julius Randle walked through the door. The man of the hour quickly became a giddy superfan– even moonwalking away from me to go meet his beloved baller.
Other friends of the brand in attendance included Pat Cleveland, Aamito Lagum, Katarina Tannenbaum, Ian Bradley, Michael Bargo, Rod Thill, Ruby Aldridge, Tyrell Hampton, and Kevin Woo.
