Inside Martin Scorsese and Giorgio Armani’s Pre-Oscar Bash
Giorgio Armani isn’t a brand that’s heavy on the party circuit, making their annual pre-Oscar cocktail that much more of a treat. Held at their store on Rodeo Drive, you can probably imagine the crowd of onlookers outside each year. They’re there to catch a glimpse of any number of the A-list attendees the brand invites out for the event, and it’s always a stellar turnout.
Celebrating an Oscar-nominated film each year, Saturday’s celebration was in honor of director Martin Scorsese’s 10th Academy Award nomination for the Leonardo DiCaprio-led Killers of a Flower Moon. There to support were Lily Gladstone, naturally, Robert De Niro, Jeffrey Wright, Nicholas Cage, William Dafoe, Lana Condor, Paris Jackson, and more.
It didn’t take long for the party location to become so densely packed servers couldn’t keep a tray of champagne full for more than 25 seconds. Somehow, though, the store is more equipped for the commotion than it lets on from the outside. Many guests enjoyed the people (and outfit)-watching aspect of the evening, a balcony of sorts straight to the back and overlooking the entire party filled quickly, and from that view, it was a sea of people in some form of crystals or sequins.
Everything from steak bites to chocolate delights was passed about throughout the evening, and midway through, people noticed there was an entire second floor, one of the massive lounge areas and private dressing rooms about which to mingle upstairs. The party had nowhere near simmered down when its end time struck, ever the indicator of a successful celebration.
