At Holiday on Madison, Guests Found a Treasure Trove of Gifts 

Following the departure of a leather-goods shop on New York City’s Upper East Side, Holiday on Madison has come to life in all its festive regalia at 831 Madison Avenue. Inside, wares from a no fewer than nine different brands line the shelves and racks at the monthlong pop-up, which made its official debut last week with a little holiday soirée that saw more shopping than sipping thanks to the many, many covetable items.

“We found this space only a month ago, and it’s really a group of friends and friends of friends who all have their own brands,” Sabrina Burda, cofounder of RAC Lifestyle, told Vogue, sporting a floor-length, velvet Moroccan jacket. “There’s Rebecca de Ravenel, Land of Belle, Paravel, Markarian, Flake, Magnetic Midnight, Le Lion, Noémie, and, of course, us.”

Paul Arnhold, Vogue’s Allie Michler, and Anna Z. Gray were among the shoppers, with Gray snapping up a pair of earrings by de Ravenel, although her wish list continued to grow. “I have a little blog where I keep track of all of the things I would buy if I didn’t have to pay rent, and this store is basically like all of that come to life,” Gray told Vogue. “I don’t know where to look first.”

Baubles of all shapes and hues made for a collective arsenal of holiday-ready clothing, accessories, and gifts that came from both down the block, like the shoppable florals and greenery curated by Vogue alum Grace Fuller, and, in the case of homewares retailer Land of Belle, from further afield. “So many people travel and discover beautiful things, and they want references of that in their homes, so we have items sourced from all over the world, from Italy to Turkey to Tanzania to Colombia to Cambodia,” Land of Belle founder Annabelle Moehlmann said before greeting some guests. “I think it’s a beautiful way to conjure memories of a great trip and create a well-collected home.”
