Inside Hermès’s Takeover of New York City

Photographed by Hunter Abrams
Nadège Vanhée kicked off the weekend early when she took over Pier 36 for Hermès’s latest pre-collection show. (Except instead of calling it resort, she declared it “The Second Chapter” of the fall collection she showed back in March.) There were supple leather overalls, scarf-inspired blouses, and equestrian-jackets, all in a bold New York City-inspired color palette of vermillion red, ginger yellow, and viridian green. The season’s most-wanted accessories were, without a doubt, the chic leather Breton cap worn atop every models’ heads, and the small Kelly bag worn as a fanny pack.
