Everyone Was at La Ligne’s Denim-Filled Dinner Party

After a buzzy cocktail hour filled with lots of dirty martinis, guests including Chris Rock, Emily Ratajkowski, Natasha Lyonne, Anna Sophia Robb, Dianna Agron, Huma Abedin, Chelsea Clinton, Barbara Bush, Indira Scott, Zanna Roberts Rassi, Victor Glemaud, Athena Calderone, Waris Ahluwalia, Lynn Yaeger, Vogue’s Virginia Smith, Mark Guiducci, and Allie Kopelman-Michler all settled into their seats for the main event.

The plush tables were outfitted with La Ligne merch galore, like branded cigarettes, lighters, stickers, temporary tattoos, and even a cozy hoodie. A denim questionnaire prompted guests to pick their favorite La Ligne jean style (which would be sent to them following the dinner) adorned each place setting.

A bountiful spread of caviar and all the fixings was a decadent (and very French!) first course. The following courses were served a la carte. Many opted for the signature cheeseburger, while others were tempted by the truffle pasta. Before dessert was served, a band outfitted in striped La Ligne sweaters took the stage to serenade guests with a few French tunes. Of course, after the opening song, Karen Elson and Dianna Argon found their way to the mic and sang a harmonic duet dedicated to all things La Ligne.

Hosting the evening at the recently opened Fouquet’s in New York was not only a no-brainer but a sentimental choice for Howard. As a US intelligence officer, her grandfather helped librate Paris in 1944, and lived above the original Fouquet’s restaurant, where he would bring his rations to the chef for improvement. Decades later and in a new city, Foquet’s ability to make everyone feel like family stands stronger than ever.

As guests slowly started to trickle out, the party kept raging. Soon enough, the band was caught on top of the tables as the boisterous crowd cheered for an encore. It’s safe to say that a night spent with La Ligne will be one to remember.
