Luisa Beccaria Celebrated Milan Fashion Week With Vogue100

For decades, Luisa Beccaria has embodied a distinctive vision of Milanese fashion—one that stands apart from the brash exhibitionism of Versace and Dolce Gabbana or the sleek minimalism of Armani and Prada. Avoiding the ever-shifting trends championed by Gucci, Ferragamo, and Bottega, the brand instead embraces an understated romanticism. Beccaria offers what Vogue described as “a sotto voce approach” to luxury—whispered refinement rather than loud extravagance.

Last week, Beccaria teamed up with Vogue100 to host a dazzling soirée in her townhouse. Tearose florals adorned the home with its lavish creations. Irises, dahlias, hydrangeas, orchids and other purple blossoms filled every corner and fostered the illusion of spring despite the season.

Strapping waiters glided through the elegantly appointed rooms, offering trays of fine wine. On the pale walls, Impressionist watercolors and Old Master drawings hung.  After a morning of chilly rain, the afternoon sun bathed the terrace in a warm, golden glow. Twinkling string lights draped from the balcony, casting a soft radiance over the courtyard below. By the bar, guests sipped cocktails infused with Don Julio as their conversations flowed from the morning’s exquisite show to the inevitable buzz of Fashion Week gossip.

Vogue Italia’s Laura Tortora served as cohost for the festivities. Tortora held court with the Vogue100 members and Beccaria’s other guests, who included local tastemakers, collectors, and patrons.

The centerpiece of the party was an unforgettable performance by soprano Carolina Lopez Moreno. Standing before a marble mantel draped in violets, she enchanted the guests with her powerful serenade. As the transcendent voice filled the room—by turns, beautiful and arresting—the audience listened in captivated silence. Just a few feet away, Beccaria sat visibly moved. Like the brand itself, opera remains timeless for a reason.
