MatchesFashion Hosted an Intimate Holiday Party For All Their Friends in New York

On a chilly New York City evening, MatchesFashion brought a bit of heat to the Big Apple, hosting a bevy of fashion friends at King restaurant, an Italian hot spot in the heart of Manhattan’s South Village neighborhood. It was a busy week for the London-based retailer, starting with a pop-up shop curated by Vogue editors. But that didn’t stop the online store from making time to celebrate the season. There were literal flames soaring into the air as guests dined in a brick-wall room with an exposed kitchen.
Before being seated at three lengthy rectangle tables, attendees like Peter Do, Jonathan Saunders, Patti Wilson, and Lynn Yaeger mingled and sipped cocktails. In the background disco tunes—Abba’s Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie Gimme—created a festive atmosphere as guests chatted amongst themselves.
Once the tables were set—with a custom MatchesFashion-printed tablecloth, of course, tall candlesticks, and pink and red ranunculus flowers—attendees took to their seats to enjoy a delectable four-course meal.
After nearly three hours of dining with MatchesFashion and celebrating the holiday season, the finale arrived: a shared dish of tarte tatin with fior di latte ice cream that proved well worth the wait.
