Earlier this morning, an announcement from Buckingham Palace confirmed the passing of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, at Windsor Castle, with Queen Elizabeth II adding that the death of her “beloved husband” was one accompanied by “deep sorrow.”
Across the prince’s 99 years and 74-year marriage to the queen, he lived a vibrant life marked not just by his service to the crown, but also his passions for polo, yachting, wildlife conservation, painting, and, of course, his beloved family.
