How French Model Tina Kunakey Spends a Weekend in Capri
French model Tina Kunakey has a love affair with the island of Capri. “I find this island so romantic and beautiful,” Kunakey says. “I love everything in Capri—the food, the sea, the artisan shops. The atmosphere is so unique, and makes me feel serene and relaxed.” In town to attend the Unicef x Luisaviaroma Gala this past weekend—raising funds for Unicef Italia, which provides clean water to children and families around the world—Kunakey decided to make the most of her weekend in the sun with lots of pasta and beach visits. And she documented the whole whirlwind trip exclusively for Vogue.
Kunakey’s trip kicked off with the gala itself on Friday night, which she attended alongside celebrities such as Katy Perry, Emily Ratajkowski, and Vanessa Hudgens, and close friends, including shoe designer Amina Muaddi. “I was most excited about supporting the cause, it felt special to attend to support Unicef,” says Kunakey. “In these complicated times, it was so lovely to be reunited with friends, some that I hadn’t seen in too long.” For the formal occasion, she wore a sexy black dress with slashed cutouts by Mônot. “I love Eli [Mizrahi]’s designs,” Kunakey says. “He always makes super beautiful dresses that are sexy, but never too much. I loved this one because it had the perfect balance of sexiness and chicness. I was able to show some skin, but felt so elevated at the same time.”
After the gala, Kunakey then took some time to herself during the weekend and hit up a few of her favorite spots on the island. This, of course, called for a visit to Fonetelina, one of her favorite lunch spots. “The pasta is delicious,” Kunakey says. She also caught some rays at the Faraglioni beach, where she slipped into a yellow two-piece bikini that was as vibrant as the scenic setting. She couldn’t end the trip without trying to get the perfect beach shot on her iPhone (stars, they’re just like us!).
