Tod’s Gathered Uma Thurman, Kelly Rutherford, Adrien Brody, and Allison Williams for Dinner Uptown

On the penultimate evening of New York Fashion Week, luminaries of all varieties flocked uptown to celebrate the opening of the Tod’s boutique. The revelry began with a cocktail reception in the glamorous store, newly imagined into an open-concept layout. There, Diego Della Valle, president and CEO of the Tod’s Group, and Andrea Della Valle, vice President, welcomed models, movie stars, philanthropists, artists, and entrepreneurs. Uma Thurman, clad in a baby blue trench coat, acted as guest of honor.
As hors d oeuvres circulated, attendees—Elizabeth Hurley, Adrien Brody, and Allison Williams among them—admired the handsome coats, iconic loafers, and elegant handbags on display. Donning a leather apron and thick protective glasses, an artisan from the Italian atelier demonstrated his time-honored technique. The location offers customization services for the popular Di Bag and the Gommino.
Once a modest shoe factory in Casette D’Ete, Tod’s has grown into an icon of Italian luxury. Through the wild popularity of the company s innovative rubble-soled moccasins, Tod’s became a powerhouse by the late 1970s. Earlier this year, Tod’s, which originally listed on the Milan Stock Exchange in 2000, became a private company again, with the Della Valle family in control. The Manhattan flagship serves as an exciting mark of this new chapter.
At eight o’clock, guests moved to the iconic Mark Hotel. There, an intimate dinner awaited. Despite the February slush outside, bouquets of orange ranunculus adorned the tables. Familiar fashion fixtures Derek Blasberg, Georgina Chapman, and Rachel Zoe mixed with rising stars like Kathryn Newton and Melissa Roxburgh. A delicious Burrata served with fresh cherry tomatoes provided a taste of Italy, a theme that ran throughout the evening’s menu.
