Emma Roberts, Charles Melton, and Thomas Doherty Rendez-Vous with Valentino at Bergdorf Goodman

On Thursday night, guests arriving at Bergdorf Goodman for a Valentino dinner party were greeted with an old-timey New York City taxi cab reimagined in the unmistakable, “retina-vibrating” Fuchsia hue that was seen at Pierpaolo Piccioli’s unabashedly pink fall 2022 Valentino ready-to-wear collection.
The same shade appeared elsewhere throughout the storied department store where, for the first time ever in the shop’s 123 year history, partygoers were treated to a seated dinner right in the middle of the accessories floor; the table runner, napkins, lighting, florals, and most of the ensembles, all pink.
“I remember the excitement around the show in Paris last March, and I remember loving how the models all made their way from the runway, right out into the street, which we watched on a livestream from our seats,” Bergdorf Goodman’s senior vice president and director of women’s fashion, Linda Fargo recalled to guest alongside her co-host for the evening, Emma Roberts. “The street is really where we see all of these beautiful creations come to life, and we have our own mini runway show here tonight.”
A look around the room revealed embroidered taffeta, whimsical feathers, and pops of color donned by the likes of Selby Drummond, Chase Sui Wonders, and Jayme Lawson—one couldn’t help but feel as if they’d been swept up all over again into Piccioli’s technicolor dream world. As the evening came to a close, the dream continued for many attendees who found themselves unsupervised, cocktail in hand, roaming the hallowed halls of Bergdorf Goodman, free to break out dance moves, snap photos, and test out merchandise to their hearts’ content.
