Willy Chavarria Hosted a Buzzy Post-Show After-Party—And the Downtown Fixtures Came Out

After his Fall/Winter 2024 showcase in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, designer Willy Chavarria brought together his closest friends and fashion family to the vibrant downtown hotspot Jean’s to celebrate his acclaimed collection.
As guests made their way through the glass doors and checkered floors, they were instantly welcomed by the fiery red glow that bathed the space and the reflection of lights that danced off the suspending disco ball. Dinner service commenced with a menu fit for a celebration. Downtown fixtures, including Julia Fox, Amanda Lepore, and Joey BadA$$, as well as fashion figures such as Paloma Elsesser and Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, indulged in freshly caught seafood and chased it down with bottles of Don Julio tequila.
Inside the buzzy bistro, a set by Marco Neeves made it impossible for guests to stay in their seats. Digital cameras flashed incessantly as attendees relived the golden years of Y2K (of course, they took snapshots against the iconic zebra tapestry and golden walkway; how could they not?). Everyone danced, many mingled, but some found solace in a steaming bowl of pasta and a stimulating conversation about their latest fashion week musings.
Yet, amidst all the glamor and revelry, there was one star that shone just as bright as Chavarria himself: Jean s fan-favorite chocolate chip cookies. As delectable as they were iconic, some might argue that they even stole the show (for that evening, at least!).
