It s almost Rodarte s tenth anniversary,

and if the show today wasn t exactly an anniversary

celebration, it certainly felt like a party.

It was the most glamorous thing they ve ever shown.

This collection really felt celebratory, I thought,

it really felt like a party collection.

Well it was a fun collection because,

for us, we were inspired by the idea of like,

migrating birds.

We kept thinking if a bird is leave a place,

it would be leaving an industrial place.

Which is why we were like, the columns should look

like they re falling apart, and the set,

and then why you d have nature overgrowing it.

So it was the idea of leaving something behind

and going to a place more pastoral maybe.

[Tim] The clothes have such a strong character.

Who do you become when you wear them?

Actually I feel completely like myself,

every time I put on a Rodarte.

I feel like they design just for me.

[Tim] You feel like that, Cecilia?

You know I feel like I am presenting

some beautiful creation that they have made.

You really could see in this collection,

the body coming through the clothes.

And also I think the technique, I mean,

suddenly, all the different fabrics that they used to be

are more precious, more special.

There is a certain maturity.

So much of the performance just happens in the garments,

there is so much movement and imagination,

and play and the lights were so striking.

I love Rodarte cause I feel like I m always transported

to a place, I m not sure where that place is,

(laughing)

but it captures my imagination, always.

It s how you transfer landscape on a look.

It s the sense that we, paganism, celebrate natural.

We celebrate the destruction of nature.

I mean, I just got goosebumps, didn t you?

I think it keeps getting better and better and better,

but I mean, much grown up, but at the same time,

they keep that fresh, young, free spirit.

I almost cried.

It was beautiful, that finale.

As a performer, whenever you get into a garment,

you re kind of like, What person am I today

in these clothes?

You re a number of things all in one garment.

[Tim] I m every woman.

It s all in me!
