Louis Vuitton’s Spaceship Touches Down on the Louvre

Hi I m Nicolas Ghesquière and we are in the Louvre.

The Louvre opened the door of the (mumbles)

who s gonna be in restoration for the next three years

so it s a privilege to be here tonight.

A kind of platform was set up

and I thought it was interesting

to put something sharp and very clean

in the middle of historical environment of the courtyard.

It looked like the women I grew up with this season,

and how I m growing with them helped me

to be with my aesthetic, to make my choice.

I think what I do is to design for women.

I m pleased when I do clothes for women,

which is clothes for themselves.

Hi I m Jennifer Connelly and we are in the Louvre.

The pieces were special, I thought

it was a very new feeling for Nicolas.

Hi, I m Ruth Negga,

he makes women look beautiful,

and soft, but strong.

I am Sophie Turner, the past year has been very much

like the year of the woman and strength.

It really came through in the clothes.
