I just went surfing in Hawaii for my vacation,

and today I m gonna give Surfset in New York City a try.

(playful surf music) Woo, surfin

So, first we started with Pop Up,

which mimics real surfing in the waves.

The only difference is,

you don t have an actual wave behind you

to give you the momentum to help you pop up on the board.

Paddle faster!

Ah, I lost it already.

So then we have Shark Kick.

You re leaning back, and your feet are moving rapidly.

My core is on fire!

Hot Sand, which is a speed and agility drill,

and it keeps your heartrate going really, really fast.

This one I m excited about,

because it s like doing a real duck dive in the ocean,

which I don t actually know how to do,

and that s what gets you under the waves

while you re paddling out to surf.

Ooh, I did it.

The grand finale was Crow,

which I found very, very challenging.

It is extremely difficult to do on the ground already,

so doing it on the board was twice as difficult.

I m up!

(exhausted sigh)

(laughs) I did it.

That was awesome.
