[Joan] I was received by Gisele at home.

And I get into this teeny little elevator

in this funny little old building

and I come out, and I m in a kind of huge loft.

And I look down at Gisele sitting

in a chair breastfeeding baby Benjamin.

And I thought, I don t think that s Gisele Bündchen

cuz she didn t look like Gisele Bündchen.

She didn t look like a big, striding, overpowering amazon.

She looked like this skinny, beautiful, delicate wraith.

Little Gisele and her baby.

She has a really strong spirit, Gisele.

And she was letting me in.

And I would just become a sponge

and absorb whatever there was for me to absorb.

That one looks really good, no?

Looks really Japanese to me, that hair like this?

Yeah, it s great.

It s sincere that she has definitely one and a half feet

out of modeling.

And she keeps talking about gratitude

and about how lucky she is.

I m one of six girls.

I grew up in Southern Brazil, why me?

Look at everything that s happened to me.

The sense that I got is that what she wants

to do is in the most sincere and unaffected way,

share the things that she has learned.

And where she s going now is towards the reality of life

and not its appearance.
